Vaskoglass is an editorial publication and product studio exploring the technologies, ideas, and quiet revolutions quietly reshaping how we live, work, and wonder.
Chapter One
Founded in a notebook, refined by the open web.
Vaskoglass began in 2021 as a personal reading log — a place to file the articles, research papers, and product launches that didn't quite fit into the news cycle. What started as a private archive became a publication when we realized how many thoughtful people were asking the same questions we were: not "what is new," but "what does it actually change?"
Today, Vaskoglass is a team of writers, designers, and engineers based between Lisbon, Berlin, and Toronto. We publish a long-form journal on emerging technology, build small editorial tools that help curious readers keep up, and occasionally partner with research labs and independent brands on essays, prototypes, and visual explainers. We are independent, reader-supported, and allergic to hype.

Vaskoglass isn't a newsroom chasing the cycle. It's a quiet workshop for ideas. Everything we ship is filtered through a few core questions — does this help a reader think more clearly, and would we still publish it next year?
Layered clarity
Every article ships in three layers: a one-paragraph read for the busy, a five-minute read for the curious, and a deep-dive appendix for the obsessed. You choose the depth. We do the work to make each layer honest.
Independence by design
Vaskoglass is funded by readers and a small set of long-term research partners — never by sponsored content, never by affiliate links disguised as reviews. Our editorial firewall is short, written, and public.
Craft over volume
Twelve essays a year, read by tens of thousands, beats a hundred posts a year skimmed by millions. We'd rather you finish one of our pieces and think about it on a walk than scroll past ten.
Global curiosity, local roots
We commission from writers in twenty-two countries and translate our most-read essays into five languages. Technology is a global story — but the best thinking about it still happens in kitchens, libraries, and small studios.
Open dialogue
Every published essay is followed by a public notes thread where readers, cited experts, and the author can respond. Disagreement is welcome. Bad faith is not. We moderate carefully and explain why.

The People
A small team, distributed by design.
Vaskoglass is built by a core editorial circle and a wider bench of contributing writers, illustrators, and engineers. We meet in person twice a year — once in a coastal town, once in a mountain town — and work asynchronously the rest of the time.
